The last two weeks have been insane
I’ve got a number of blog posts queued up in my head:
- Activist behavior design from the perspective of open source consultants to the military (!!!)
- Institutional change vs grassroots mobilizing, and how the activities compliment each other, but how the leaders frequently come in conflict when approaching problem solving from such different perspectives
- Asking for help the right way
- “culture” fit as defined in Europe/EU vs the US
- K-12 US education reform activity
- The next year in PostgreSQL development
- my upcoming keynote at FROSCON (August)
- my upcoming keynote at LISA (December)
- contracting
- finding a great lawyer
- women in tech who experience sexual harassment while in management positions, who know that if they go to HR they risk their entire careers — so they don’t, often because they’re the sole breadwinner, or so that they can eventually get promoted out of the terrible situation
- the expectation that activists working on women’s issues be “nice”
- the value of listening
- the value of learning to detect lies
- the value of an inner circle of advisors
SO MANY THINGS.
I’m also looking for a job. :)
